By then, he had grown to 6'5" and 210 pounds (1.96 m, 95 kg), and his coaches at Reedley thought that he would soon receive many FBS scholarship offers. Īllen did not play in the team's first three games in 2014, but in the next game he ran for four touchdowns after coming off the bench, and soon became the team's starter, throwing for 25 touchdowns with only 4 interceptions for the rest of the season. He also ranked 20th among California JUCO quarterbacks in passing yards as a freshman, and ranked 42nd in the state in rushing, averaging 66.0 yards per game. 7 among all California junior-college quarterbacks in 2014. Individually, Allen's 26 touchdown passes tied him for No. 10 in the state, and averaged 166.9 yards rushing to rank 26th. 7 among all California junior colleges, scored 39.4 points per game to rank No. Reedley averaged 285.3 passing yards per game to rank No. 9 among all California junior-college teams in total offense. In his only season with Reedley College, Allen led an offense that averaged 452.2 yards of total offense per game to rank No. College career Reedley College Īllen attended Reedley College, a junior college where one of the football assistant coaches at the time was married to Allen's cousin. Allen received numerous awards for his agricultural work and knowledge including a rank in the top four in the nation in diversified crop production of cantaloupe, cotton, and wheat in 2014. Īllen was a member of the National FFA Organization through his local chapter at Firebaugh High School. Not only was Allen involved in multiple sports while in high school, he also regularly worked on the family farm and at the restaurant his mother operated in Firebaugh. They spurned overtures from more prominent Central Valley programs after Allen's breakout junior season and kept him at Firebaugh, living by the family mantra that "you bloom where you’re planted." Yahoo Sports writer Jeff Eisenberg added in another 2017 story: Īt a time when many scholarship-hungry families encourage their kids to specialize in one sport or to transfer to the school that will provide the most exposure, the Allens resisted both trends. He was the leading scorer on his basketball team and also pitched on the baseball team, reaching 90 mph with his fastball. His high school team didn't participate in many 7-on-7 camps because Josh and many of his teammates were busy playing baseball and other sports. He hadn't attended the elite quarterback camps and wasn't a widely known prospect. In a 2017 story on Allen, ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach speculated on why Allen got so little interest out of high school: Īt the time, Josh was about 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds. San Diego State made him an offer to walk on, but Allen turned it down because Aztecs coach Rocky Long couldn't guarantee any playing time. DeRuyter was not alone in this assessment Allen received no scholarship offers from any NCAA Division I program-whether in the top-level FBS or second-tier FCS. Growing up as a Fresno State fan who regularly attended both games and football camps, Allen tried to draw the interest of the program's coaching staff his father tried to sell the Bulldogs' head coach at the time, Tim DeRuyter, on him, but DeRuyter chose not to offer a scholarship. The farm where he was raised was established in 1975 by his paternal grandfather, who was also a longtime member of the local school board and namesake of the gymnasium of Firebaugh High School, from which Allen graduated in 2014. His family has lived in the area since his great-grandfather, who emigrated from Sweden in 1907, settled there during the Great Depression. During his third year as starter, Allen broke several franchise passing records, including most passing yards and touchdowns in a single season, and led Buffalo to its first divisional title and playoff win since 1995.Īllen grew up on a Template:Convert/acre cotton farm near Firebaugh, California, a small town about Template:Convert/mi west of Fresno, California. In his second year as a starter, he led the Bills to a 10-win season and their second playoff appearance since 1999. Allen started his professional career as Buffalo's backup quarterback, but was quickly thrust into the starting position after a poor performance by Nathan Peterman and had his first career win Week 3 of 2018 against the Minnesota Vikings. He was drafted by the Bills seventh overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, becoming the highest-drafted NFL player from Wyoming. He played one year of junior college football at Reedley College before transferring to the University of Wyoming, where he led the Cowboys to a Mountain West Conference division title and two bowl games. Joshua Patrick Allen (born May 21, 1996) is an American professional football quarterback currently playing for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL).

The second 3 way switch is the last switch in the series of switches, this 3 way switch sends the power to the light or lights. One 3 way switch receives the power for the system of switches. Any additional switch(s) is a 4 way switch. In a circuit where there are two or more switches that operate lights, there is always two 3 way switches. This still may not be possible, and definitely isn't a beginner task - you need to understand electrical fairly well, and map out everything involved with this circuit. If you're missing the hot/neutral, the only option you have is to run a totally new wire, or possibly (depending on how it's wired), you can convert the 3-way to a single switch, and then re-purpose the wires to supply constant hot and neutral to the new outside switch (effectively, one of your 3 way switches would get converted to control the outside light instead). That said - keep in mind that not everyone follows code.) White is, by code, always neutral, and has to be marked if it's used for a switched circuit. (Also note, the black tape on the white wires indicates this. In this case, there is no neutral at the switches. On the switch on the right, you have a neutral, but you don't have constant hot - hot is switched, on either the red or black, depending on how the first switch is flipped.Īnother common way the switches are wired is the power goes to the fixture first. In the above diagram ,you can add another switch to the one on the left - you'd connect to the white and black wires coming from the "power source" line. There are several ways to wire 3-way switches, but what you'd be concerned with is the type where power comes to the switch first: Compare to the diagrams below (or at the original source), or ask here again and we'll try and help you out (labelled pictures = very helpful). You'll need to turn off the power at the breaker panel and physically remove the switches (don't disconnect them, just pull them out), as well as the light fixture. It would be helpful if you can check what wires are in each location - what colors, and how many actual cables are coming in. You need a constant hot and a neutral wire. It entirely depends on how the existing switch is wired. Weight management: Cashew nuts may help control weight when consumed in moderation. Here are some of the advantages of consuming cashew nut kernels: Are Cashews Good for Your Health?Ĭashew nuts offer various health benefits, provided that they are consumed in moderation. Therefore, individuals taking any of these medications should be cautious when consuming cashew nuts and consult their healthcare provider if they have any concerns about potential drug interactions. Glyburide (DiaBeta Glynase PresTab, Micronase). Here are some drugs that may interact with cashew nut kernels: For instance, quinolone antibiotics like ciprofloxacin may bind with magnesium and prevent adequate absorption of antibiotics. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, several drugs interact with magnesium, which is present in cashews at high levels, and can disrupt the effect of those drugs. While cashew nuts are an excellent source of magnesium, which provides many health benefits, there is a risk associated with magnesium interfering with certain medications. Therefore, it is important for individuals with a cashew allergy to be aware of the symptoms and seek medical attention if they experience any adverse reactions. Symptoms of cashew nut allergies include:Īlthough cashew allergies are relatively rare, approximately 0.1% of Americans have an allergy to cashews, and less than 1 in 1000 individuals will develop a severe allergy after being exposed to cashews. Research has found that anaphylaxis or constriction of the airways is more common in individuals with cashew allergies than in those with peanut allergies. While cashew allergies are less common than tree nuts or peanuts, studies have shown that the incidence of cashew allergies is increasing, especially among young children who may not have been previously exposed to this allergen. Individuals with a nut allergy should avoid consuming excessive amounts of cashew nuts due to the risk of serious allergic reactions. Therefore, it is important to consume cashews in moderation to avoid potential weight gain. If you are looking to gain weight, consuming about 30-40 cashew nut kernels per day may be helpful. If you eat too many cashew nuts, the most common side effect you may experience is weight gain. The fats in cashews are primarily “good” fats, which can have a positive impact on our health. However, consuming cashews in moderate amounts is not likely to cause weight gain. Weight GainĬashew nuts are high in calories and fat, which can lead to weight gain if consumed excessively. Therefore, it is advisable to consume cashews in moderation and seek medical attention if you experience any adverse effects. Moreover, in some cases, cashews may interact with certain medications. People with nut allergies should also be cautious when consuming cashews. Overconsumption of cashew nuts can result in various health problems, including:Īlthough cashews are a good source of protein, fat, fiber, and minerals such as magnesium, zinc, and selenium, excessive consumption can lead to rare side effects. What Are the Side Effects Of Eating Too Many Cashew Nuts It is important to stay hydrated by drinking at least 3 liters of water daily. However, athletes may be able to consume up to 30-40 cashews per day due to their higher metabolism and physical activity levels. How Many Cashews Is Too Much?Ĭonsuming over 40 cashews a day is considered excessive and can lead to overeating. Some studies suggest that consuming nuts like cashews can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease by reducing blood pressure and cholesterol levels.Īdditionally, some vitamins and minerals in cashews, such as potassium, vitamin E, vitamin B-6, and folic acid, may help fight heart disease. If you are using cashews as a source of healthy fats and protein, you can consume 15-30 cashew nuts a day.Ĭashews are rich in unsaturated fats and essential minerals like copper, magnesium, zinc, and iron, as well as vitamins K, E, and B vitamins. Nutritionists recommend limiting your consumption to 5-10 cashew nuts a day. You can eat a moderate amount of cashews daily to enjoy their nutritional benefits without risking weight gain. Learn more about the potential disadvantages and side effects of cashews in the article below. Some compounds in cashews have antimicrobial properties and may help to lower cholesterol levels and blood pressure, but moderation is key to avoid potential health issues associated with excessive consumption of cashew nuts. What are the potential drawbacks and side effects of cashew nuts? Can excessive consumption of cashews lead to diarrhea? What happens if you eat too many cashews? While cashews are a nutritious snack rich in copper, magnesium, and phosphorus, as well as protein and beneficial fats, overconsumption and allergy can cause rare side effects such as bloating, constipation, weight gain, and joint swelling. This happens to me with both "XAudio2" and "Cubeb" Audio Backends and audio stretching not being enabled while using HLE (I attached picture of my current Dolphin Audio settings to this post). The aforementioned cutscene with Dunban cutting down Mechon has way worse crackle whenever it occurs there. That's a very mild case of crackle though. Here is a a clip of the crackle happening when Shulk starts the narration for the Battle of Sword Valley: It happens regularly on certain parts of cutscenes (like when the opening cutscenes switches to Shulk's narration for the Battle of Sword Valley it always happens) and occasionally on other parts too (for example when the opening cutscene shows Dunban cutting down Mechons the audio sometimes, but not always, crackles during it). I have audio stretching turned off by default on the latest dev build and I still get the occasional crackle. It completely vanishes with Audio stretching off. It does it because somehow the fps fluctuate by 0.1-1 frames even when the game is turboing well over 70fps (don't pin me on that exact number though) I can easily hear it in the screen with the Monado (titlescreen). It's sort of like a crackling or a wow sound. (03-25-2018, 09:05 PM)mstreurman Wrote: This game's sound behaves strangely when audio stretching is turned on. I guess I'll try downloading the latest version and see if that helps but the audio problem seems to be a common problem with Xenoblade so I figured the Dolphin version difference probably isn't the crucial factor here but rather something to do with my settings. The original series also spawned the feature film Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, released by 20th Century Fox on June 30, 1995. With the beginning of Power Rangers Samurai in 2011, the franchise had moved to Nickelodeon. It was the final Power Rangers season to air on ABC Kids as Haim Saban re-acquired the franchise from Disney, who took over the rights in 2002. Only the first 32 of season one's 60 episodes were remade. In 2010, a remake of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, with a revised new look of the original 1993 logo, comic book-referenced graphics, and extra alternative visual effects, was broadcast on ABC Kids, and Bandai produced brand new toys to coincide with the series. Another series connected to the original classic series would be Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, as one of the main villains of this series, Thrax, is the son of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd, main villains of the classic series. The exceptions would be Power Rangers Dino Thunder, which could be considered as a continuation of the original classic series by having the presence of the character Tommy Oliver (the Green Ranger and later White Ranger, portrayed by Jason David Frank) as part of the regular team of Rangers of the generation of that series (in some of the other series the character only made special participations). While a global storyline would continue in Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo, Power Rangers in Space, and Power Rangers Lost Galaxy (which could be considered respectively and unofficially as the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh seasons of the original series), the subsequent series would not be sequels or spin-offs in the traditional sense, having self-contained plots with no strong connection with the original series (except taking place in the same universe, not being reboots). The series was produced by MMPR Productions and distributed by Saban Entertainment, while the show's merchandise was produced and distributed by Bandai Entertainment. Only the mecha and the Kiba Ranger (White Ranger) costume from Dairanger were featured in the second season while only the Kakuranger mecha was featured in the third season, though the Kakuranger costumes were later used for the mini-series Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers. The second and third seasons of the show drew elements and stock footage from Gosei Sentai Dairanger and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, respectively, though the Zyuranger costumes were still used for the lead cast in these two seasons. The show adapted stock footage from the Japanese TV series Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger (1992–1993), which was the 16th installment of Toei's Super Sentai franchise. It is the first entry of the Power Rangers franchise, and became a 1990s pop culture phenomenon along with a large line of toys, action figures, and other merchandise. I'll drag the bottom and hold the Option key down and the top moves up and it stops there at the top. If I do that notice on the left side it stops when it gets to the edge so all I need to do is drag all the way to the right, the left side I get for free. So what you need to do here is you need to drag the edge that is clearly furthest away from the edge of the screen. That will drag not only that edge but the other edge in equal amount. Then you can do that for basically every side even including the top and you can quickly get it to fill the entire space no matter what the content is here in the middle.Ī quicker way to do this is to get that double sided cursor and hold the Option key down. The neat thing about this is it actually stops right at the edge so you can drag all the way over. So you move the cursor over the edge of the window and you get that little double sided arrow there. Well there is a couple tricks you can use and there is also an app that a lot of people like. So how can you get more precise control over your windows. Option click is going to not fill the screen but it is simply going to expand to be as big as it needs to be to show you all the stuff. The same thing here for the Finder window. So it really depends on what you are doing. I actually have to go to 200 here for it to fill the screen because there is actually more to be shown here then there is space for. If I were to zoom to 150 and then Option and click the green button you can see it gets even bigger but doesn't quite fill the screen. Here you can see now the window fills the entire document so there is no need to go more to the left or the right. So I can achieve somewhat what I want by Option clicking on the green button, so I hold the Option key down and I click and it will expand to fill the space but not any larger than what this window needs. The window is now filling an entire desktop space. Hitting the green button here actually changes the app to be a full screen app. I would also like it to fill the the screen. I would love it if they would stick there so I could just move it to the left. I can move them around but they go beyond the edges of the screen to the left and right. Here I've got a Pages document in a window and I've got a Finder window here. So, if you're like me you like to have precise control over the size and position of windows that you are working with. The updated Ember Travel Mug features a screen to change the temperature rather than twisting the bottom of the mug.Īs of November 1, the Ember Travel Mug began shipping a new model aptly named Ember Travel Mug2. New Ember Travel Mug2 model boasts improved features This ensured that my mug wouldn’t attempt to cool my tea while it was steeping and ruin my drink. One thing I found was that, since tea should be brewed at a temperature higher than 140 degrees, it was better to brew the tea while the Ember Travel Mug was off and then turn it on to reach my preferred temperature when it was done brewing. If you’re so inclined, you can even link it up with Apple Health to track your caffeine consumption (something I didn’t test because I track all my health stats in my Fitbit app). The best part is that the app will send a notification when your mug has reached its perfect temp or your tea is done brewing. It comes with preset “perfect” temperatures for different drinks and timers for different kinds of tea. The app itself isn’t necessary to use the mug’s features, but is still a nice added bonus. The travel mug also comes with a handy app where you can set the temperature as well as name your mug (I affectionately call the one I tested “Cocoa”). The mug charges on a simple plate, and although the mug is waterproof, it’s not dishwasher-safe and can’t be placed on the charging plate when wet, at risk of damaging the charger. The control system is in the bottom of the mug, which you can twist to adjust the temperature. To turn on the Ember, you simply tap the logo on the travel mug and a small LED screen will glow with the current temperature. Not only is it easy to use, but you can drink it from any direction. I also really dug that the cap has a spring-loaded lid you push to open and close. So I never felt awkward or embarrassed when asking a barista to fill my high-tech mug. The Ember Travel Mug has a sleek design, and despite its built-in heating system, it isn’t that heavy. The mug charges on on a simple plate-just don't set it down when wet. How using the Ember Travel Mug can change your life Does anyone really need a temperature regulating mug with a smartphone app? Probably not. It typically goes for $180, which is much more expensive than any other mug I’ve owned. Using a passive cooling system and an active heating system, Ember claims this mug will help a beverage reach your desired temperature six times faster than it would normally-and I was thrilled to discover it actually works.īut this travel mug does not come cheap. To solve my hot drink woes, I decided to try out the Ember Travel Mug, a smart mug that will keep your drink between 120 to 145 degrees for a few hours. I’m not sure which is worse, to be honest. But if I use a normal, non-insolated mug, my tea always gets cold before I have the chance to finish it. Seriously, I have to wait at least an hour so my tea isn’t scalding hot and won’t burn my mouth, meaning I can’t enjoy the sweet burst of caffeine on my morning commute unless I make my drink really early. But the problem is, it keeps my drinks hot for hours. It’s a gorgeous maroon color, is easy to sip from, has a built-in loose-leaf tea brewing system, and keeps my drinks hot for hours. I already have a travel mug I really like. Editor’s note: We have since tested and reviewed the newly released Ember Travel Mug2, which features new temperature control capabilities. |
